Judy Becker Worsley
After completing a Doctorate in Jurisprudence in the USA, I went to England in 1973 to study acupuncture with Professor J.R. Worsley, staying until his death in 2003.
Between 1973 and 1983, I completed Licentiate, Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate certifications and was awarded the only Fellowship J.R. ever conferred. I practised, taught, and served as Director of Clinical Studies at J.R.’s College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa, England, until 1995.
In 1988, J.R. and I established the Worsley Institute of Classical Acupuncture (WICA), which we closed in 1995, unwilling to be bridled by the accreditation process.
In 1996, J.R. publicly designated me as his successor Master. In 1997, we founded the Master Apprentice Program (MAP)℠, the Worsley Intellectual Property Trust, and Worsley Inc., and supported the founding of the Worsley Institute of Classical Five-Element Acupuncture™. In his final years, J.R. worked diligently preparing me to carry the tradition forward. In addition to continuing MAP℠, Consultation Days℠, Open Seminars, and numerous online events, educational opportunities now include Worsley Institute Training℠ in the UK, USA, and China and Leadership in Training (LIT)℠.
J.R. and I married in 1991 and moved to Church Hill Farm in rural England, where I still reside.
