I've been mulling this one over for a while after Joshua Park's class:

The Greeks had the classical four temperaments which were combinations of the four elements- air, fire, water, and earth.

Sanguine- reaction is big and emotion doesn’t last long- prone to joy

Choleric- reaction is big and emotion lasts a long time- prone to anger

Melancholic- reaction is slight and emotion lasts a long time- prone to sadness

Phlegmatic- reaction is slight and emotion doesn’t last long

It would seem to me that we could match these to the personality types of the Jue Yin and Shao Yang constitutions

Sanguine is SJ

Choleric is GB

Melancholic is PC

Phlegmatic is LV

What do you think?
